A tad breezy at Castlemartin Corse middayish. I sat in the car above Freshwest Beach for a while and could see a Marsh Harrier over the reeds and many Golden Plover and Lapwing flying around.
On a quick walk down the Corse the less well marked Marsh Harrier was over the reeds most of the time but no sign, for the second visit running, of the brighter bird. A Peregrine was seen a few times clearly revelling in the strong winds and keeping the 600 or so Golden Plover and 400+ Lapwing on the move.
The beach outfall has now been unblocked and despite all the recent rain the Corse is draining fast. Still a fair bit of water in front of the reedbed, however, which held 30 Mallard, 26 Shoveller, 50 Wigeon and 20 Teal.
