The Glaucous Gull had been bathing on the mere around 3pm (Graham Rees). I caught up with it as it cruised along the clifftops on south side of the beach, almost within touching distance. Watched it from the coastpath until the light faded when it moved over towards Gateholm. On the mere 3-4 Tufties and large flock of Lapwing c1500 with 7 Golden Plover among them. Stopped at Mullock Bridge to see the Barn Owl show and it didn't disappoint. Earlier at Goultrop: 1 Red-throated Diver, 1 GN Diver, a dozen Scoter and 2 Guillemots.
