A Great Northern Diver just inside the haven this morning, and a flock of 7 Turnstone that whizzed around from one side to the other.
On Marloes beach the Glaucous Gull is still feeding on the seal carcase. It is remarkably confiding, and hovered over our heads before dropping down for a good feed. Judging by the amount of the carcase remaining, it could hang around for several weeks, especially since it seems keener to feed on it than the local Great Black Backs.
On the Mere, good numbers of the usual dabbling duck, many of which seemed quite flighty and flushed repeatedly. Also a single female Tufted Duck. In the unploughed field by Trehill Farm there is a nice flock of at least 500 Lapwing; the light was too bad for me to see If there are any Golden Plover with them.
