A late afternoon look at from The Webley produced one 1st cal yr and three adult Med. Gulls, along with 160 Common Gulls roosting with the Black-headed Gulls on the mud. The two Bar-tailed Godwits still present amongst a high count of 85 Oystercatchers. 60 Lapwings - though numbers seen during the week have varied from 500 to 1000 on the sand bars.
The usual Wigeon and Teal have disappeared, probably up river on the wet fields...
This Shoveler was an excellent find by Wendy at Mallard Pond on the Reserve, an irregular winter visitor to the estuary and usually with the estuary Teal flock.
