Paul G and I were at the Gann from around 6.20-7.20pm, seeing the 2CY
Ring-billed Gull from last weekend, and then Paul picked up a 3CY
Iceland Gull which had dropped in to the river as it flows across the beach. It quickly relocated to the sea for a quick wash, and then flew purposefully across to Dale and onwards in the direction of one of the islands to roost (like the large gulls tend to at Dale). We also had the
Red-breasted Merganser in the bay, as well as 2 Gannets, plus 10 pale-bellied
Brent Geese (no rings) but not Derek's Sandwich Tern.
