Nice
flock of 16 pale-bellied Brent Geese at the Gann, arriving about 2pm
today on rising tide. Feeding on the weed quite high up on eastern side
then moved over to Dale side where one of them stood just in front of,
and was towered over by, a great black back gull. I dont think I had
appreicate how small Brents were (or how big GBBs were). They had left
within 30 minutes.
Marloes
mere was very quiet, but at least 18 gadwall and were around. Two small
flocks of snipe flew in and disappeared completely into the tussocks.
