Ramsey and Trefeiddan

More signs of migration today. Lisa found a cracking snow bunting this morning. The first since 2011 and a rare spring record. Also logged today - 2 male wheatears, a water rail and a male black redstart - in the exact same place as one last October - could it have overwintered? It was very elusive today as was the one last autumn so its possible as its not a part of the island we spend much time at in the winter as it is very exposed.

News from Derek Rees at Trefeiddan of a male wheatear today and a ringtail hen harrier
