While driving south on the A478 between Efailwen and Penblewyn roundabout this morning at least 300 swallows passed fairly low over the car, all heading east. Although no huge numbers were actually counted, they were spread out with an almost constant presence throughout the 10 minute journey giving the impression that many thousands were involved altogether. In contrast, between Narberth and Pembroke only a handful flew past.
