Gann and Marloes Peninsula

Brief look at Pickleridge Pools, Gann itself was just too busy. 5 Redshank, 5 Teal, 2 Little Grebe, Little egret, Greenshank and 2 Ruff where busily feeding on the grassy spit. Marloes Mere: Was deserted just 6 Mallard. A Chaffinch, Goldcrest and a Spotted Flycatcher out from Britton Hide. (A Bittern booming yesterday recorded in note book). 7 Wheatear on walk over to Deer Park. Flocks of c50 Linnet and Goldfinch. 18 Chough on Deer Park settling in around Renny Slip. Martins Haven looked great sheltered from the freshening westerly but only Blue Tits, Linnet and Goldfinch. Some good looking stubble fields back towards Trehill Farm will be worth keeping an eye on, a lonely looking Golden Plover was all I could find though.
