A party of 11 on the Trehill Farm fields this morning, feeding near to, but not with, around 150 Canada geese. Most seemed to be juveniles: all looked small, very dark, delicate and rounded compared to the Canadas. I could not get near enough to see if any were tagged: I recall that at least one of the adults in the party of c.17 that over-wintered here 4-5 years ago had been tagged.
