An hour later than usual dog walk this morning saw a large group (50+) of mixed finches bathing in puddles and feeding in the scrub area behind the "beach bungalows" at the Trewent hill end of the beach. Among them was at least 20 Greenfinches - the most I have seen together for quite some time.
