Amroth

At Amroth this evening, plenty of scoter offshore but fading light made it difficult to look through them. Also, a female Red-breasted Merganser and a summer plumage Great Crested Grebe. A small gull roost had established fairly close inshore. Rough counts: 70+ Black-headed Gulls, 5 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and c30 Herring Gulls. A nice surprise was an adult Yellow-legged Gull with about 30 Herring Gulls at the mouth of the stream at the east end of Amroth. As the light faded the gulls on the shore, and the Yellow-legged, flew out to join the gull roost on the sea.
