Just returned from a great week at Skokholm Bird Obs assisting with seabird research. A summary of the week on the Teifi Ringing blog
Teifi - Wildfowl presumably most are are feral, are returning to moult. Canada Geese numbers are building and amongst 280 at the Webley last night, 3 Greylags, and a surprise ...an adult Pink-footed Goose.
No sign of the male Tufted Duck found by Arfon on Saturday, just 1 Teal with the Mallards and the 2 Mute Swan cygnets doing well. c40 adult Shelduck around the estuary and a creche of 14 well grown Shelducklings. 5 Curlew and 20 Black-headed Gulls too.
