Dale & St. Ann's
A thorough check of some key sites in the Dale area. Highlight at the Gann was a juvenile Curlew Sandpiper on the lagoon, a very late one. Also there a Black-tailed Godwit, 3 Bar-tailed Godwits, a Greenshank, a Dunlin & several Redshank. Up to Dale Fort which was almost birdless. Things improved at Kete with a nice Skylark flock in a bare earth / stubble field, and then even better at St. Ann's Head with a Black Redstart around the old lighthouse and it or another on the cottages by the new lighthouse. A Swallow battled into the headwind. A nice circular walk from Dale up to the Airfield and back via West Dale, highlights included 8 Reed Bunting and 6 Snipe.
