I'm breaking my own rule that postings on the blog should be about bird sighting only but the following from the Wildlife Trust of South & West Wales provides an opportunity to improve the Teifi Marshes Reserve:-
"We’re excited to announce that our project –
“Building Better Boardwalks” at the Welsh Wildlife Centre has been
shortlisted for a public vote in Tesco’s Bag’s of Help initiative.
As many of you will know, parts of the boardwalk on
our wetland trail are old and unstable in places and badly need
replacing. We would like to replace parts of the boardwalk using
recycled plastic supports and bearers which will last
much longer in the wet conditions than wood.
From the 31st of October until 13th
November you can vote for the project in Tesco stores in Cardigan,
Carmarthen, Haverfordwest, Milford Haven and Pembroke Dock. Your vote
will help secure a Tesco Bags of Help grant
of up to £12,000. Customers shopping in the above Tesco’s stores will
be given a token with every transaction. Customers can then use their
token to vote for their preferred project at the instore voting unit.
