Gann Sunday morming

Doing a WEBS count but not above a bit of twitching at the same time! American Golden Plover flew in and landed on the little spit at the entrance to the river and stood there in the sunshine giving amazing views. (About 10:15) One other thing of note was the 19 Little Egrets spread around the area - 11 of which were at the top of  the marsh near Mullock Bridge. Also 25 Dunlin, 8 Ringed Plovers, 1 Bar-tailed Godwit, 4 Greenshank, 6 Redshank and 5 Dabchicks. Curlew had virtually disappeared - must have dispersed on the very high tide as there was nowhere to roost. Could not find any Brent Geese. Loads of pipits on the beach.
