Slim pickings at 2 of my 3 counts. Yesterday at the Corse, with Rob and Christine Lewis and Mike Robinson, just 48 snipe and 1 heron. No open water at all. The marsh harrier had possibly fed earlier, as no sign of her. One buzzard, 3 Cetti's and that was about it.
Today at E Cleddau, everything in single figures except 35 BHGs and 10 teal - where was everything? The geese on the Hook shore were clearly very excited about the WEBS count, terrific racket coming from there. I'm expecting to see even less at Broomhill Burrows Ponds.
