Over near the French Mill, a common sandpiper was really the only other note-worthy bird at this end of the Carew estuary.
Numbers of ducks still seemed quite low, with less than 100 wigeon and not many more teal in the Carew/Cresswell complex. A few greenshanks were at expected roost locations plus c.100 lapwings along the shore.
A spotted redshank was a nice addition over at Coedcanlas on the Daugleddau (they seem to have become more scarce here in recent years) and there were several hundred very noisy Canada geese over at Llangwm.
