Marloes Mere & Gann

I caught up with the 1W drake Pintail on the Mere: a nice find by the Burgesses, since it is not that obvious in the drizzle!
A wonderfully calm afternoon, which meant that the calls of the ducks, Snipe and Water Rails were really clear.

The Gann had a nice range of waders, including 7 each Dunlin and Bar-tailed Godwit, 2 Snipe feeding in the open, 3+ Greenshank, and c.20 Redshank.

Lots of Song Thrushes around today: seemed like every bush had at least one flying in or out.
