Just to add to Brian’s post, we also saw a Short-eared Owl mid-afternoon.
At the Mere, a female Kestrel, and a ringtail Hen Harrier seen several times, working the surrounding fields. And a flock of about 200 Lapwing.
This morning there was a large flock of gulls feeding very actively in the North-flowing tidal race off Wooltack Point. Only unusual gulls I could see were around 10 adult Med Gulls, but conditions looked good for a Skua, given the large numbers involved: I will look again over the weekend.
