Paddy's Crossbills

There is a bit of an influx of Parrot Crossbills into the UK at the moment (e.g. 42+ in Norfolk, with others in Suffolk and Berkshire).  A friend of mine reports low numbers of Common Crossbills in East Anglia this year, presumably due to food, so reasonable to hope that some Parrots might venture further west.  Given what Paddy describes, and knowing he is pretty 'handy' at bird identification (an understatement), perhaps they have arrived already.  Arm yourself with Parrot knowledge, and head for the hills!
