3 of us (myself, Paul G & Toby Phelps) had a really good look at the gull roost this evening. Lots of birds, building as dusk approached, initially lots of murk & drizzle making viewing difficult, but at around 4pm it cleared through and at that point we picked out a smart adult Iceland Gull (not many of this age recorded in Pembs). The usual good number of Lesser Black-backed Gulls, but almost equalled by an unusually high number of Herring Gulls, amongst which we picked out 5 Yellow-legged Gulls (4 adults & a 4CY). Also 2 Great-crested Grebes & a female Goldeneye. No Canada Geese though.
Merry Christmas everyone.
