Popped over to see how "how the other half live" & try to see Brent U3, bit of a shock! Birds everywhere!
I started counting the Wigeon first, got to Seven Hundred & something then lost count as they were moving two & fro but easily 1,000 birds - at least, next I started on the Dunlin - same thing got to Four hundred & something & then they all took off to relocate 100 metres further on.
42 Brent easily counted (!) not one ring so they missed the rocket nets then, 11 Pintail were nice, 1 Blackwit, 6 Grey Plover, 3 Barwits (getting easier) c 200 Common Gulls same amount of BH Gulls (struggling again!) plus c30 Meds around & over. 2 hrs after high tide, should`ve been there earlier. I didn`t realise how impoverished we were birdwise at the Gann, still, it`s easier not having to count much more than 25......ish.
