Tenby late this afternoon

We had a nice late afternoon walk along North Beach just before a lovely sunset to see if there were any purple sandpipers or turnstones roosting on the rocks near the lifeboat station. We couldn't see any there. However it was nice to see at least 3 blackcaps (at least 1 male that sang briefly and 2 females) in scrub and trees in hotel gardens above the beach. Just after sunset a black redstart was on the roof of one of the hotels - close to a location where we watched one at dusk last winter.
