Marloes Mere Hen Harrier and Brent Geese at the Gann

An adult female Hen Harrier put up about 40 Snipe at the Mere this afternoon. Also present was the Pintail and two Tufted Ducks, one pretending to be a Scaup with a big white blaze. A pair of Skylarks were fluttering over the Britton hide, calling frequently but not quite singing in the sunshine.

Earlier at the Gann were 31 Pale-bellied Brent Geese, about 60 visible Snipe in front of Crabhall and two Goldeneye. There was Mediterranean Gull with yellow colour ring amongst the gull roost up the river.
