Marloes Mere

Marsh Harrier causing great alarm. Watched it hovering whilst a Pintail kept diving but was grabbed by the neck several times  (chap in hide with long lens got a great pic)  but the harrier let go.
Large numbers of duck put up, mainly Wigeon but also Teal, Gadwall, Shoveler and Mallard.
Peregrine made a few circuits and a small grey falcon shot past the hide and into the marsh. Merlin?
Nine Snipe, two seemed to be swimming between tussocks.
A dozen Coot, one Moorhen and two Little Grebe.
(Steve Cook, on holiday at St.Brides.)
