The Teifi.....

A few interesting notes from the Teifi today. Two Goldeneye and a pair of Goosander on the river from the viewpoint, where also on the rocks in the river, a Rock Pipit with Pied and a Grey Wagtail.
A Marsh Tit on the feeders outside the Wildlife Centre and amongst the ground feeding birds, 7 Robins together and 6 Reed Buntings including 2 of our colour-ringed males (1 ringed 29/9/2014)
One Sanderling at The Webley with 7 Ringed Plover and 52 Redshank opposite St. Dogmael's Quay.
The Shelduck count of 62 seemed high --  67 my highest count in April 2008.
Interestingly the WEBS counts of 108 in Jan 1984 and 106 in Feb 1988 stand out as exceptional compared to recent years with counts c20/40 generally.
