I did my usual Radford Pill to Carew Mill beat - very quiet, just 8 teal, 2 shelduck, 3 greenshank, 3 little egrets, some redshank.... But 50 metres below the dam, standing on the mud near a few black-headed gulls, was the
Iceland gull - presumably the one reported by Bob and Annie recently. I pointed it out to the lady staffing the Mill information centre as it was just outside her window. A couple of lesser black backs and a few first winter herring gulls nearby.
