Marloes Mere: Chiffchaff have arrived in numbers at least 10 launching themselves after midges around the mere, my first 4 Sand martins and a first Willow warbler. 3 Tufted duck (2m) and drake Pintail. Dozen Gadwall with several pairs courting. Peregrine did three passes.
The Gann: Last light/high tide. A distant black/white small grebe sleeping out in the bay most likely a Slavonian. Great Northern diver, the Merganser and a GC grebe. Gannets plunge-diving. 22 Brent. 80 Oystercatchers inc ringed birds 06, 39, 40, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 57. Also an Oystercatcher with black rings.
