Should have known by now, t-shirt weather H'west equals woolly jumper Marloes! Derek and I had a good look (best we could in the mist) for yesterdays Dotterel without any luck. The mist burnt off briefly to allow a good look around the mere. Pintail still there, 4 pair Teal and 2 male, pair Shoveler and 2 males (one appears to be guarding a possible nest site, chasing off another drake, before returning to same spot). First Swift and among the many Swallows was a striking brick-red coloured bird.
