On the rising tide a flock of 14 very smart Black Tailed Godwits appeared, fed busily for c10 mins, then took off.
6 Med Gulls - 3 ad, 1 2cy & 2 juv. Time was when it seemed c10% of Med Gulls would have darvic rings, but the French & Belgian ringers must be losing impetus - no ringed birds yet this summer.
The Herring Gull with the purple spiral over plain red ring, that I posted a dodgy pic of c3 weeks ago, has been seen regularly since, which makes me wonder if it is a local bird ringed this year. But by who?.
Also around at least 1 Whimbrel & a Greenshank.
