The Teifi

In the last couple of days. apart from some good seabird passage across the mouth of the Teifi, including Leach's Petrel and skuas some interest at The Webley high tide roost.
Last night 4 Sandwich Terns, 2 adult and 2 colour-ringed juvs, and a 1st year Lesser Black-backed Gull likely colour-ringed on Flatholm in the Bristol Channel. Also 4 Med Gulls, 1 adult and three 1st year birds.

Godwits galore by the usual Teifi counts.
This morning's count just in as I write from Gary Reynolds - 32 Black-tailed Godwits and 15 Bar-tailed Godwits with the usual Curlew, Oystercatchers and 5 Redshank.

A couple of photos of Bar-tailed Godwits and Black-tailed Godwits from Chris Jones taken a couple of  days ago.

Wigeon are arriving in small flocks, 3 were watched to arrive yesterday on a sea-watch - the total now 27 in the estuary. Small waders are scarce, and after a couple of days with apparently no small waders c20 stopped off to bathe yesterday.
