What to do if you find a stranded Manx Shearwater

Many Manx Shearwaters are now fledging from Skomer, Skokholm and Ramsey. In most autumns, particularly during bad weather periods, some get disorientated and become stranded. This can happen anywhere along the coast and even inland.

The RSPB and the Wildlife Trust South and West Wales have produced some useful advice about what to do should you do if you happen to find any when you are out birding on the coast etc, or get reports of shearwaters that have become stranded.
