Though there have been plenty of gulls at Newport recently, for a long period all I was picking up were the regular (Gloucester landfill) Herrings & (Skokholm) GBBs.
But things have picked up a bit recently.
BHG Yellow 2NAL on Oct 19 - 21 had been ringed as an adult at an Essex landfill site in Jan '16 & was subsequently noted at Cork in Aug '17 & July '18.
Med White 323J on 21st, was the first report after being ringed as a chick in Holland in June this year.
BHG White JHZ6 on 22nd, is quite elderly, having been ringed as an adult in Norway in March 2011. The only other report is also from Cork in Feb '16.
