A 5-raptor day at the Corse. I went with Mike Robinson, and we met Rob Lewis, who had already nearly trodden on a jack snipe, at the hide. We saw a buzzard, a female peregrine, the usual two female marsh harriers and a ringtail hen harrier - which sparred with one of the marsh harriers, having put it up from the reedbed. After we'd gone our separate ways Rob saw a further two kestrels. At the seaward end, a large (600+) lapwing flock, 40-60 curlew and two chough. Not much water - only a few of the greylags still present upstream with just a few teal, but plenty of snipe.
Update pm - three marsh harriers - Rob Lewis. cf 13 November
