Trefin

A female Black Redstart in the cove this afternoon feeding on the rocks and, over by the quarry, a male Peregrine hunting and a short eared owl flew out from the coastal slopes. The Peregrine (and possibly the owl?) had three kills today, a feral pigeon, a meadow pipit and what looked like a Purple Sandpiper but hard to say as just a few wing feathers and some bloody lumps of flesh were left behind! remains of older kills included guillemot and juvenile gull.
