Falcon friction and where are our starlings?

A shrill call drew my attention to a Peregrine, probably a Tiercel, Which was pursuing a Kestrel which I think had just avoided the Peregrines stoop. The Kestrel made good its escape whilst the Teircel shot around the sky looking for some other prey before I lost sight of it. My quest to find out where the Starlings from the Roach/Plumstone roost have moved to...Fran had noticed a bit of a "murmuration" near Letterston.
Yesterday we tracked them down to a wooded valley, where several thousands flighted in at dusk. Conditions were far from helpful so with a bit of luck we will get a better Idea of the size of the roost when the weather improves. So far as I know there is no direct access so we will also be looking for the best vantage point before releasing any more information.
