Dave, Derek and I had another visit for the NT wintering farmland birds survey around Trehill and West Hook farm fields. Thank you to Pete Smithies and Rob Thomas for allowing us access across their fields. Pick of our visit was a pale juv Hen Harrier, putting up 60-70 snipe off the mere, the drake Pintail and a pair of Tufted duck, c300 Lapwing and a flock of 70 Goldfinch in a fallow field.
