Popped to the Gann yesterday but I was so overwhelmed with emotion I didn’t stay. Totally heart breaking but in all fairness the guys seem to be working endlessly to prevent any spread.
There were noticeable signs of oil on the edge of the shingle/shells etc near the car park but the whole shore had had the top surface taken off so looked strangely flat but was relatively clean.
Many Curlews calling & feeding on the waters edge alongside the Oystercatchers. Nothing seem to be stained or struggling.
I couldn’t see much else due to teary eyes so just left. Paula Lazar
