A Ringtail hen harrier hunting over the mere this morning, was the highlight of two visits today. The harrier put up a Lapwing which circled the mere a few times before dropping down near the Oriole Hide. 36 Teal, 12 Shoveler, pair of Wigeon, 2 pairs Shelduck, 5 Tufties, Pintail and a drake Gadwall. Otherwise Sand martin numbers building (100+), Chiffchaff and Goldcrest on Deer Park. Kestrel near Gateholm.
