Wardens [Nathan Wilkie and Sylwia Z] returned to Skomer on Wednesday, 27th February, nice short eared owl and RT hen harrier disturbed out of the bracken near Bread Rock. Teal and mallard on South Pond.
Skokholm island wardens' Giselle Eagle and Richard Brown did a very rapid landing on the jetty, with a 20 minutes turn around loading all the stuff off the boat and on to the island thanks for John Reynolds expert driving his fabulous Nelson.
At Mullock, red kite (1 each time) hunting and sparring with crows over the Gann marsh and near Mullock Farm and cottages.
Barn owl hunting over the Gann marsh edges on 26th, 27th, 28th February around 2300 each night. Tawny owls dueting in the larch wood as they have been for the last three months. Anna Sutcliffe
