At 7.55 this morning a Great White Egret flew over the marsh from the north, after some gentle circling it settled near Otter Hide. The GWE was then picked up c1100 as it drifted from the Cilgerran end of the reserve up the Teifi valley.
After the 1st Swifts yesterday c6 were feeding over the marsh this morning, along with all 3 hirundine species. House Martins continued as yesterday with 20+ feeding.
Grasshopper Warblers are still reeling on the marsh and the 1st juvenile Chaffinch of the year was ringed at our Constant Effort Site on the reserve.
The 1st juvenile Siskin of the year appeared this afternoon in Boncath.
