Thanks Dave & Lisa for the tip, going by Lisa`s post time I was on the ridge watching it  - much as Lisa said - until the local Grey Heron decided to bomb it off, escorting it up to Mullock marsh. It was visible on the way back home from the vantage point above the marsh still being shadowed by the Heron.
