We have been on Cardigan Island until 8pm but off just in time to count waders....
550 Dunlin, 35 Ringed Plover, 3 Sanderling, 1 Bar-tailed Godwit, 1 Greenshank.
Though just out of county - whilst we were on Cardigan Island primarily counting Lesser Black-backed Gull nests we did find 40 nests of Barnacle Geese. We do count 100+ in the late summer / autumn already, so this year we expect to have another increase and presumably more wandering.......
