Carew Mill Med Gull today...

...on his or her favourite patch of mud 10-20 metres east of the Mill. It was finding small worms (ragworms?) on the surface every few steps. We have yet to give it a name - Milly, perhaps?

It does not like sharing this patch of mud with black headed gulls, which it encourages to leave.

Further down river, a young female peregrine was attempting to chase down curlews. Other birds: 4 little egret, 2 grey heron, 2 shelduck, 40-50 bhgs, 20 or so lesser black backs, 10 herring gulls.
