Water levels have dropped, and with more muddy pools so come the waders. 8 Dunlin, 5 Black-tailed godwits, 3 Snipe, 2 Common sandpiper and a Curlew. 50 Mallard, c20 Teal and the young Shoveler. 3 Willow warblers, 2 Kestrel and first Swift for a few weeks. Worth keeping an eye on in coming weeks, the meres had a bit of a lean time and well overdue something a bit special.
