A 730am look at The Webley as the tide dropped produced 1 juv Curlew Sandpiper, 1 Turnstone, 11 Sanderling, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 13 Bar-tailed Godwits, 1 Whimbrel, 19 Dunlin and 29 Ringed Plover. Likely more Ringed Plover and Dunlin but both Red Kite and Sparrowhawk spooked the flocks. 6 Greylag Geese in the channels and c50 Wigeon.
Staying with waterfowl the Black Swan is still closely attached to one of the Mute Swan flocks, and a Bar-headed Goose flew over Creek Hide this afternoon - no sign of the Spotted Crake today or yesterday.
Plenty of activity on the reserve, the highlight being 2 Willow Tits near the Buffalo field.
In the berry laden hedges Chiffchaffs, Blackcaps, Goldcrests, and Robins each time I stopped.
