Early mornings are spent near the river view point on the Reserve and today's reward a Hobby at 0650 after Swallows coming out of roost. Warblers ringed over the past two mornings include 22 Blackcap, 1 Sedge Warbler, 5 Reed Warbler, 11 Chiffchaff, 2 Willow Warbler and a Goldcrest. On the river 1 Wigeon this evening with 3 Goosanders and 1 Greylag Goose the regulars. 1 + Greenshank was calling frequently last night, 3 together recently. 11 Sanderling was a good count in the estuary yesterday along with the Black Swan.
