Marloes peninsular, Skomer

Some nice birds over the weekend:
- Today two Whinchats dropped into the sallows in Martin’s Haven this morning. They were around for about half an hour, but not re-found this afternoon. A trickle of Willow Warblers all through the day and a couple of Goldcrests.
- Saturday, as well as the Dotterel on Dale Airfield, 5+ Dunlin, a Curlew Sandpiper, and 15+ Ringed Plover: that ploughed field could get even more productive after the overnight rain.
- Highlights of a lovely walk on Skomer today were a Great Spotted Woodpecker (always a surprise how small a tree they need to feed on!), and a juvenile Marsh Harrier.
