Quiet Down South

Very quiet at Kilpaison this morning with no waders other than a couple of Curlew and Oystercatcher. A sign of winter to come though with 24 Wigeon on the tideline and 6 Mute Swans.

St Govan's quiet too. 4 Chough and a couple of Wheatears. Click on the photo and look closely and you can see a small spider hitching a lift on the Wheatear's upper mandible. Wonder if the bird was able to shake it of and make a snack of it?
